Ethan Shin

Hi, I’m Ethan Shin, a senior at Langley High School and an incoming student at NYU Stern in the Business, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (BTE) program. Outside of academics, I’m a 3× Virginia State Champion in swimming and the current Virginia state record holder (200 Medley Relay), and I enjoy exploring interests in fashion and cars. For the past four years, I’ve tutored students across a variety of subjects, and I’ve also spent three years volunteering with neurodivergent children through swim programs. I started CmCn to bring students together to support one another academically while building a stronger community around learning.

Daniel Kim

Hello, my name is Daniel Kim, and I am a senior at McLean High School. I am a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and a Presidential Scholar Candidate, with perfect scores in both the PSAT and the SAT, as well as a Virginia Math League Champion in 2024. I have 4 years of experience tutoring math (Pre-algebra to Calculus, AMC 8/10, and MOEMS), and I’m also open to being an SAT tutor.

James Lee

World History, US History, Physics, Piano

Hello, I am James Taegyu Lee, a senior at Langley High School and a prospective student of music composition and physics. I have played the piano for twelve years consistently throughout my life, placing 1st in the 2025 VMTA Piano Concerto Competition and performing Rachmaninoff’s Second Concerto with the McLean Symphony Orchestra at the Harris Theatre, while also receiving various other awards and honors. Alongside music, I have a strong interest in physics, world history, and American history, and have participated in various extracurricular activities in those fields. For the past six years, I’ve volunteered with younger students in my ministry and tutored elementary and middle school students.
